• For this year's April Fool's prank, the first 20 seconds of The Room was broadcast, before switching over to TOM from Toonami, an old block that originally aired on Cartoon Network in the late 90s and early 2000s. The entire schedule lineup was replaced with anime right after, featuring the Toonami bumps and programming. The shows aired that night included that week's new episode of Bleach, as well as Dragon Ball Z, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo!, Outlaw Star, The Big O, Yu Yu Hakusho, Blue Submarine No. 6, Trigun, Astro Boy and Gigantor. TOM also did a review of Mass Effect 3, and DVD releases were promoted throughout the night. Toonami was supposed to be brought back for one night only, but the block proved to be so popular that Adult Swim asked if they should bring the block back permanently, and later that year, the block was revived as a weekly Saturday night programming block.
