Blade Runner - Black Lotus is an upcoming anime series based on the film Blade Runner 2049, a sequel to the 1982 film Blade Runner.

The series was announced on November 29, 2018 and is a co-production of Adult Swim and Crunchyroll set to air for 13 episodes, along with Alcon Entertainment, who produced Blade Runner 2022,[1] and will become the fourth anime series Williams Street has co-produced behind FLCL Progressive/FLCL Alternative, Big O second season and IGPX: Immortal Grand Prix.

Shinji Aramaki (Ultraman, Appleseed) and Kenji Kamiyama (Ultraman, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) are directing all the episodes at Sola Digital Arts. Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) is a creative producer on the series.

Details of the series' are being kept under wraps, but it is known that it will take place in the year 2032, between the two films, and will feature "familiar characters."[2]

  • Earl Grant: Stephen Root/Hochu Otsuka - Police Chief of the LAPD.
  • Doc Badger: Barkhad Abdi/Takayuki Kinba - A black market dealer.
  • Senator Bannister: Gregg Henry/Masane Tsukayama - A politician with strong feelings on replicant production.
  • Doctor M: Henry Czerny/Akio Nojima - A brilliant doctor and professor of medicine.
  • Hooper: Jason Spisak/Kazuki Yao - A journalist in the pocket of the Wallace Corporation.
