Citizen Kane is a 1941 American film, directed, produced by and starring Orson Welles. The film follows the life of fictional character Charles Foster Kane and is often cited as one of the greatest films ever made. Despite it's popularity, it originally did not recoup it's box office, until gaining a resurgence and re-releasing in 1956 after praise from French critic André Bazin.
In Rick and Morty: The Anime episode Girl Who Manipulates Time, one timeline's version of Morty Smith's life is chronicled in the same way as Charles Foster Kane, down to him dropping a round object in death (A Nander dragon's tear or Nander dragon's sweat instead of a Snowglobe) and an utterance of final words that no one understands the meaning of (Help Me, instead of Rosebud).
