Pibby-1

Pibby (Also known as Learning With Pibby and Learning With Pibby: Apocalypse) is a proof-of-concept short aired on the official Adult Swim YouTube channel on October 30, 2021. It follows Pibby, a character from a fictional educational show, who is forced to cross a multiverse of Warner Bros. shows, chased by an unknown, glitchy darkness with the ability to infect and control characters it touches. Ever since the upload of the short, it quickly became famous and viral on Youtube, with many fans asking for a full series for the character.

On April 1st, 2022, some AS originals had Pibby and Bun-Bun (Glitched) inside. This was known to be the great invasion of Adult Swim (A.K.A Pibby Fools). Even the Bumps had them.

The Sign off IDs was even changed for AS. It had the Morph (Zoomed Out) sign off instead of the current Dinner Party sign-off.

The original music for that sign-off was replaced with a Pibby goodbye song. Sometime later, a billboard was even redesigned to let the darkness consume it.

During 2023, a video of an alleged storyboard, featuring Pibby's voice actress, from what would've been the first episode leaked on the internet, which sparked many rumours about the show being announced soon.[1] However, on October 3, 2023, series creator Dodge Greenley revealed via Instagram that Pibby had not been greenlit yet and would likely not be greenlit.[2]

Description[]

The short starts with the opening of a preschool cartoon show, Learning with Pibby (The parody of Sesame Street), which is rudely interrupted by a strange black, glitchy liquid consuming the area. The titular character, Pibby (The simply-designed girl with blue skin and pink hair) and her rabbit companion, Bun-Bun, retreat to their house where she promises that she will always keep him safe. However, the scene cuts to the darkness consuming Bun-Bun, with Pibby failing to rescue him. Just as the darkness closes in on her, she is saved as the show cuts to credits, taking her with it.

Pibby then narrates that she discovered other worlds, being other shows, such as a generic superhero world, Bedrock (Where she meets Fred Flintstone), Coolville, where she encounters corrupted versions of Velma, Shaggy and Scooby Doo, Ooo, where she encounters corrupted versions of Finn and Jake and what appears to be O-Town from Rocko's Modern Life.

Additionally, the bathroom in SpongeBob's house from SpongeBob SquarePants is seen for a few seconds. Another scene shows a live-action commercial with a boy watching the animated characters run from the darkness, in which they are shown to be much smaller than the boy.

Pibby is forced to team up with a superhero's sidekick and an aristocratic cat villain as they search for a way to stop the darkness and build a rebellion.
