TBS

TBS is an American TV station created under the Turner Broadcasting System. (TBS originally being an abbreviation of Turner Broadcasting System). It first went on the air in 1967 as an Atlanta-based TV station as WJRJ-TV. Then renamed to WTCG-TV, the channel went on national airwaves in 1976 becoming the first American superstation and a pay TV network. The channel would receive yet another name change, SuperStation WTBS. In 2007, the channel was relaunched as TBS and would turn into a basic cable network. It is a sister channel to Adult Swim. TBS owns the show American Dad! which airs on Adult Swim through syndication as well as Final Space before its cancellation in 2021.
