Lassie

Lassie is a fictional female Rough Collie dog and is featured in a 1938 short story by Eric Knight that was later expanded to a 1940 full-length novel, Lassie Come-Home, and an entire media franchise afterwards. Despite the character of Lassie being female, she has exclusively been played by male dogs.

Lassie appears as a guest in Space Ghost Coast to Coast episode "Hungry," due to the time frame, Lassie would have been played by Howard, an eight generation dog descended from the original Lassie, Pal.
