My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is an anime produced by BONES, based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi.

Synopsis

After rescuing a bully from a villain, an ordinary student gains a superpower that allows him to attend a hero academy.

Plot

The story takes place in a world where 80% of the population has developed a Quirk, giving rise to heroes and villains. Among the 20% without any particular quirk is Izuku Midoriya, whose greatest wish is to study at U.A. and become a hero like his idol All Might. One day, after meeting All Might in person, he offers to let him inherit his powers, seeing Midoriya's great determination despite not having any powers. Since then, Midoriya agrees and begins studying at U.A., where he makes new friends, meets other professional heroes, learns to master his powers and face real villains.
