Pilot

In the Adult Swim world, pilots are episodes shown to the veiwers as a preview to a new series. Adult Swim looks at the number of viewers during that pilot, and response to that pilot on it's website, to determine if a show should be given a full season. Other shows may have first episodes that are not nessacarily "pilots", but maybe be consider as such by fans.
