The Nigthbeat Eye

The Nightbeat Eye appeared in the intro to the Adult Swim Eyewitness Nightbeat bumps, animated by Next Media Animation. Originally he only appeared at the beginning of the segments, to laser the title into the pavement. In the final episodes, he gains his own storyline, where he visits a bar (shrinking to regular size), and heads back home to check the newspaper to learn that he accidentally killed a man while lasering the pavement. The cops come to arrest him, and he evades capture, however they take his cat in for interrogation. The cat refuses to give him up at first, until a different cop threatens him with physical violence.

The Eye who was hiding outside his window, several stories up is found by the cops, but before they can take him in a mysterious helicopter comes and rescues him.
