Since 2001 Toon Zone's Adult Swim message boards have voted on the best in the preceding years Adult Swim offerings. The registered users on the forum are able to nominate their favorites from the preceding year on Adult Swim. The nomination process usually begins in November and ends in early December. The top three or five shows with the most user votes in a catagory get seleted for nomination. Once the nominees are selected voting is opened until December 31st of that year. Winners are announced on January 1st. Since the nomination and voting process lasts a month any new show or episodes debuting in December are not eligible for nomination. Thus the eligibility period last from December the previous year through November the year of.
