Toonami Rewind

Toonami Rewind was a throwback anime block that aired on Adult Swim on Fridays, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The purpose of the block was to relive the glory days of what many know as the golden era of Toonami when it still aired in the afternoons on Cartoon Network, similar to the function of the Checkered Past block that airs series from the channel's past. It made its debut on May 31st, 2024.

It originally aired Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z Kai and Naruto. It was accompanied by a recreation of the TOM and SARA 3.0 graphics.

This had no effect on the original block that airs on Saturday nights from 12:00 P.M. to 3:30 A.M., which continues with its respective acquisitions, as well as the original series Ninja Kamui, My Adventures with Superman, which launched its second season on May 31st and Rick and Morty: The Anime, which premiered on August 15th.

The block closed on December 26, 2024 due to low ratings and viewers not being satisfied with what was aired on the block.
